Sometimes when I log on Craig S. is listed as the top baseball answerer, and sometimes it is Georgie Porgie.

Craig S. has about 15,000 points and 674 best answers, and Georgie Porgie has close to 41,000 points and 512 best answers. It's not like those numbers are close enough for them to be changing the lead back and forth. So why is one the top answerer some times and the other is the top answerer other times?

It is a glitch. Sometimes it doesn't update as it should.

Georgie Porgie isn't #1 anymore. He now goes by Georgie Porgie2 in a new profile.

Craig S is #1.

Top Answerer is determined by the number of Best Answers a user has in particular category.

Maybe whoever had the most recent best answer or whoever answered more that day or whoever was most active.
