Yes there are a great number of investment opportunities that are not "publicly" known.

There are many reasons why this might be the case.

1. Many companies are not easy sold in a public forum.
Many person services businesses like insurance agencies, doctors practices, etc are generally sold privately as the value of the business could be diminished with a public notice of sale.

2. Some companies prefer not to publicly sell their business for other reasons

a. The seller of the business or property wants to have a say in how the property of business is used. A church may privately sell its property so they can be sure the new owner doesn't use the property for something the church wouldn't approve of strip club, liquor store etc.

b. Seller of the property or business is selling to a specialized marketplace and prefers to have any potential buyers screened by a private party to make sure they are not dealing with "tire kickers", "no-money down" deal makers, or someone outside of their area of expertise. A good example would be a record label who wants to sell but doesn't have the time to "qualify" all the buyers that a public sale would bring.

c. Investment opportunities that arise that a public sale would require SEC compliance issues. There are many many private investments made in this area by accredited a investors.

Our company, Performance Ink, works as a "finder" or locator of properties or business opportunities for interested investors. We charge the buyer a finders fee only if we are successful in introducing an investor and a seller and a transaction between the two is accomplished.

90% of the items we deal with are not "listed" for sale anywhere. The sellers work with us as a screening device to find buyers or investors who may be acceptable to them

Good news for the buyer or investor is that because of the nature of these being non public opportunities, many times the purchaser or investor can find some unbelievable bargains in these private sales or investments.

We are presently working with selected companies looking for buyers of or investors in the following types of properties..
radio and television stations, office buildings, a college campus, hotels, recreation properties, an oil pipeline, a broadway play, 3D movies, music publishing companies, a world famous record label, a DVD distribution company.

In addition I am a member of a group of entrepeneurial CEOs who are always looking for capital, especially ground floor financing for new and exciting businesses.

Please feel free to email me if there is an interest in looking into these types of businesses.
