Ok, my brother just graduated highschool and im still in nineth grade. my brother always drank since he was like in seventh grade. and just a few weeks ago my brother, his girlfriend, and his friends were offering me drinks. of course i've drank before..but when we all got drunk my brother was getting pissed after a while. i dont know why, but the next couple days i drank with my friend a couple times and my brother was being ridiculasly hipocrytical because he was saying he was going to call my mom and tell her i was drinking and he said he was going to take my drinks away from me when they weren't mine or his...even when he was drinking. and he is also telling his friends not to hang out with me even though they are only two years older than me. is my brother being just plain jealous and hypocrytical or just being overprotective?

He sounds like he is being protective.

All of the above. Maybe he finally realized just how stupid it is for a kid your age to be drinking when he saw someone that he loved starting to get into it. At least, I hope that's what it was. He may sound hypocritical, but in this case, I think it could be considered the voice of experience. Might want to listen . . .

Sounds like he's starting to recognize his stupidity in drinking too much. Could have also heard some "friends" planning to get you drunk and "take advantage of you". A good way to get pregnant, and have an alcohol damaged baby.

You both should drink way less.

It doesn't sound like he's being jealous at all. I'm sure he's just looking out for you. I understand how you think he's being hypocrytical because he drinks, but maybe he feels guilty about being the reason his younger sibling is drinking underage.

You all have no business drinking. I suggest strongly that you stop and if you love your brother you encourage him to stop. Your brother is being protective, and while you might not be able to control his drinking, I would listen to him. Maybe he knows his friends well enough to know that he can't trust them with his drunk 15yr old sister.

AHes being protective. he loves you and doesnt want to see you make the same mistake he made.

Its kinda like when a parent that did drugs tells their kid not to. Youre still innocent and he wants to preserve that is all. Be happy you have someone that loves and cares for you enough to be like that

He sounds like he doesn't want you to make the same mistake he did. And he does sound like a hypocrite but he is trying to protect you....

You shouldn't be drinking. If he doesn't tell your mom, someone should..
