haha yeah that is weird.
im even more bothered on the temperpedic commercial where they make "vince" jump on a spring mattress with the wine glass and when they do it in slow motion you can hear the announcer guy do that scream ah thing he does when the glass spills. it sounds like a satanic monster its so funny!

Although this is not the norm for sleeping, it would kinda defeat the purpose of advertising the MATTRESS if it could not be visible in the commercial. Yes, it looks strange, but it is for advertising purposes, and once you own the mattress, you can dress it up any way you want. I personally think watching someone else acting comfortable on the mattress is stupid, a much better way to advertise it would be show the innards so we can see how it is made and WHY it is comfortable. Before I would buy a mattress anyway, I would test it myself in an actual store, and I would want to see the bare mattress, so I can see it's craftsmanship.

the couples smile all the time like they have just done something or said something funny. Sleep number, they show people in public asking other people what their number is,and the other people answer telling them a number like they knew the minute they were asked what they were talking about! My ESP is not that good and I probably wouldn't know what some one was talking about if they were to ask me something like that in public. But those sleep number people know what they are talking about in a second and have that number ready if some one should ask....Bull**it. Plastic Mattresses just burn me up at night, all I do is sweet and I can't sleep a wink. Foam Mattresses aren't any better they would make me sweet in the middle of the winter.

It's kinda creepy - but how else are they going to show the ACTUAL product if they cover it up...
And why does EVERY couple end up spooning in the commercials - don't SINGLE people buy mattresses too?

Yup. It's also stupid how they are smiling while they are "sleeping" not to mention MAKE UP hello? who goes to sleep with make up on their face?
