I've met people who had phobias about any snake-looking animal, but never someone who was specifically afraid of eels.
I don't think such a fear has an 'official' name, but it should be Anguillophobia (from Latin Anguilla=eel + Greek Phobia=fear).

Ophidiophobia cannot cover a fear of eels. I am from New Zealand where there are no snakes, I am not afraid of snakes yet I have panic attacks at the sight of eels.My fear of eels is triggered when I see them and they look completely different from snakes so Ophidiophobia would not apply to me.

True eels (Anguilliformes) are an order of fish. Fear of eels is not created yet. Maybe it can be ichthyophobia, fear of fish. It can be anguilliphobia derived from anguilliformes

Not that I know of but the "class" for eels is Osteichthyes but my vote would be for "OhmygoshthatsgrossIbetterrunreallyfastophobia". :0)
