Blood dries and flakes off when exposed to sun and air. The cars have also been through a few rainstorms that wash it off. The insurance companies had them in their lots during investigation and title transfers after totaling, so the wrecking yards and pull=a=parts do not get yesterdays fresh wrecks The dark brown spots on the upholstery and carpets are most likely dried blood.

the insurance company's pay to have this done on every single accident ,before they have even settled on the car,its a safety issue ,and they always clean them up before they are run through the salvage sale, that's why you never see any blood in them,i asked about it one time is how i know this, and the guy told me how they did it,and he said also sometimes the car sale that they run through has to clean them, not on my list of favorite jobs to have ,but someone has to do it,good luck hope this helps.

hmm, probably because it dries up, and flakes off. I doubt air bags get bloody, due to their nature of protecting people, not causing them bodily harm. I seriously doubt anyone cleans a junkyard car, the worst cars are probably taken straight to the recycler or crushed, and never seen in the parts yards. That's my second guess.

Actually sometimes they don't. Several years ago, my brother-in-law and ex-brother-in-law worked in a junkyard. One day a wrecked Camaro was brought in that still had chunks of hair in the windshield from where the guy's head hit it.

There's company's that specialize in cleaning out cars after wrecks & suicides ect....(man...that job would suck)
And..alot of junk yards wont take wrecked cars if they're nasty like that..
They usely have to be cleaned first.
