joining a tumbling gymnastics class will really help considering they usually focus on cheerleading stunts. (handsprings, round-offs, ect.) if you just do some basic stretching everyday, you can become more flexible. (try leg and arm stretches, bridges for your back/tummy, ect.) if you don't have a list of cheers that you need to know try searching online for some common ones and practice the moves and words. if you keep practicing you will memorize them quickly.

advantages: you make new friends, you have lots of fun, you meet new people, you become/stay in shape, as you succeed you will become very confident.

disadvantages: depending on how strict your squads are, cheering may take up A Lot of your time. (It's worth it!)

Goood Luck! You can do it ;-)

Gymnastics could help you out a lot.
Some advantages are that you would be in incredible shape because you would have to work out all the time.
Some disadvantages are haters, and cheerleading is one of the most number one sport where players get hurt in.

yes...... don't worry it can be done..... i started cheerleading when i was a sophomore in high school...... that would have made me about 15ish...... i loved it...... it is an awsome way to meet some really great friends most of my best friends are girls that i met by cheerleading....... you just have to really practice and want it and stay determined, and as to the flexiblity issue all you can do is just try to strech like the splits and sit with your legs out and try to touch your stomach to the floor and things like that....... it's ok...... you're only 12...... you'll be fine

I suppose the entire limitation the NFL has in opposition to cheerleading is dull. If groups and their gamers are being distracted via the cheerleaders, then I suppose it is the teaching employees's fault for now not disciplining the gamers bigger. At the identical time the ones gamers ought to re-examine what is fundamental, if cheerleaders are distracting them.

You can start out by doing the exercises and drills on this page: http://geocities.com/aescougarcheer/basics.htm Don't overdo it, though.

Advantages are it is SO much fun and you make wonderful memories.

Disadvantages are that it is very time consuming. And int he case of All-stars it can be expensive.
