Cubs v. Sox.. Who's the better team?

Question

I say White Sox.. not because we won the World Series.. but because southsiders play baseball the best. What are your thoughts?

Really... do you really think they will make it to or even win the World Series?? I think not.

You guys are only looking at this season. I'm asking in general.

a. Cubs won 5 of 6 against the Sox this year.
b. Cubs have better overall record.
c. How can you say the Sox "Play baseball the best?" Have you watched this team that can't hit? When was the last time the bullpen got anyone out?

And I'm a Sox fan...but you have to give the Cubs a little credit.

I would say the White Sox. There is no doubt that the Cubs are playing better this year. If you look at the last 10 years the Sox are much better.
The Cubs finished over 500 4 times in the last 10 years and 7 times over the last 20 years. The White Sox finished over 500 7 times over the last 10 years and 13 over the last 20.
The Sox are a far better team over the past years.

Have paid attention to either team this year??? The Cubs just swept your Sox and have taken 5 of 6 overall. Southsiders play baseball the best you might want to take another look at the W-L column. The Cubs are over .500 and your Sox are not. In last series Alphonso Soriano led off the first 2 games with a HR and hit another in the 3rd game.

I would say the Sox as an organization. They have alot of talent for the long term in the minors especially pitching. The Cubs still keep doing that quick fix thing so they can put butts in the seats. The Cubs are the better team this year but not the better organization, that is why they haven't had 2 back to back good seasons in decades.

OK as of right now I say the Cubs, Cubs got more wins, and they beat the Sox 5 out of 6 times including a sweep. I see your love for your White Sox is clouding your judgment, because obviously as if right now in the season the Northsiders are playing better baseball. Even someone that doesn't like baseball can tell ya that by READING the standings. It's only halfway through the season, anything is bound to change.

You better take another look because the two teams are going in opposite directions. The Cubs are moving up to challenge the Brewers and the White Sox are trying to do everything they can to finish with a better record than Kansas City. This is not a good year for White Sox fans to compare their team with the Cubs.

I think it is quite clear that this year, the Cubs are the better team. The Cubs are 42-40, while the Sox are 36-44.

The cubs also beat the sox 5 out of 6 times this season, so I think its pretty apparent.

they are about even but if i had to decide, i would go with the cubs. this year the finally. not everyone will agree with me but the cubs are more popular with nationwide fans. the cubs also have more players that are known like alfonso soriano, derek lee, and aramis ramirez are some bigger people. Mark burhle(???), jermaine dye, and jim thome are the big ones with the sox. so its a close race. But, the Cubs are better than the sox in the standings. so good luck to the cubs and sox.

that is a tough one....
1 im a twins fan one point cubs

2 sox have raw talent but still find themselves bottom of the standings one point cubs

3 zambrano/barrett made the cubs look like idiots one point sox

4 cubs broke the bank last off season for their new lineup which is not playing like they should (but coming around) one point sox

5 cubs are matched up in the league with the team with the best record in baseball and are only 4.5 games back.................cubs are the better team
