Her leadership is horrible. How the Democrats could have thought a tree hugger from San Francisco, of all places, could lead the house proves their poor judgment.

Now that the Democrats are in the majority the Republicans are playing the legislative games that the Democrats once played. Of course, it is the Democrat’s turn to complain about obstructive Republicans. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid discussed just this and even though I thought that Republicans could not be blamed for what happened, Pelosi found a way to do it. She pinned the blame on “the obstructionism of the Republicans in the United States Senate.”
Amazingly, Pelosi seems to have forgotten that the Democrats in the Senate played the very same cards before last November and I don’t recall her discussing the obstructive Democrats. Pelosi and Reid have pinned the blame for their failures on the Republican majority but I am not buying it. The Democrats blamed every failure on the Republican majority and told everyone that things would be different if they were in charge. With that in mind, the failures in Congress are the fault of the Democrats. We are going to go by the same rules and not let Reid and Pelosi spray BS all over the place and get away with it.
Here is another BS item that we can call out. They are touting that they passed an increase in minimum wage as they promised. The only way this was accomplished is that it was attached to the war spending bill. The minimum wage has absolutely nothing to do with the war, and neither did any of the other earmarks (PORK).
Obama has nearly $400 million in pork requests. That is only one Senator and he has requested that much money for things like mass transit and a planetarium in his home state. These items should be paid for out of state tax money. If the mass transportation is part of federal transportation stuff then it should be introduced as part of transportation legislation.
The approval rating for Congress hovers around 20%. Pelosi says that Congress has never been popular and though I do not believe it, I will take her statement at face value. Nancy, if this is true, why is it so? Congress is comprised of people who represent voters (though the Senate is not serving in its intended capacity) so why is Congress unpopular? Perhaps it is because you people campaign on doing wonderful things and fool the people at home so you can act stupid when you get to DC. Perhaps it is because you folks spend our money, and make no mistake it is our money, on things you have no business spending it on.

No. Our representatives, President Bush and others have a very hard job. While the public and those running for office are yelling for things, the actual representatives know the rest of the story and often can't reveal it all (national security).
It's quite possible they got them in there, had the clout to discover the rest of the story finally, and went, "Oh My Goodness! We didn't know!" and backed off.
That's the reason representatives always seem to "betray" their party at some point. They discover the reality of the situation, and have to change their mind about it due to knowing the rest of the facts.
The public assumes the worst and trashes them.
It's wrong. Their jobs are hard enough. President Clinton and President Bush get it the worst.

Wrong! The Dems were able to get the minimum wage raised and now there will be fewer jobs for the poor. I was on welfare and I know a job is what enabled me to make an income and the Dems getting that raised will in time make the poor more dependent on them and government as businesses will less be able to pay to grow their businesses due to less money. And Bush signed it so he is also a Socialist who hurts the poor by reducing jobs. The Dems are making great progress with a new bill to increase taxes on private equity that will in turn mean less money for their companies and less jobs for the poor, so the Dems are making great strides. Everything has changed.

I guess your head in stuck in the sand like a typical repug here.
For your info, the Dems passed each promise they campaigned on...all but one was passed within the 1st 100 hrs of Congress and the one that didn't get passed actually did, once they made a small change to it at the request of the Repugs.
Each of these are still sitting on Bush's desk waiting his signature into law. So don't point your uninformed finger at the Dem Congress, they did their job.

How stupid does the poster above me have to be to not know that those things are NOT on Bush's desk.
They would automatically become law if he didn't veto them.
Duhhhhhhhhhhhh
Pelosi may have passed a few things. But she did NOT get her buddies in the Senate to buy into them and pass them.
Is it me? Or was that post above me stupid? Oh.. report me. Someone ought to make it illegal to be stupid.

Like the old saying says.. When it comes to politicians, put your hand in a bag and pull one out, they're all the same.
Anyone who thinks that giving one party power over the other is going to change things is only fooling themselves.
