What is the best eye makeup remover? I have clean and clear but it stings my eyes and make the skin red and tender. I need one that really gets off eyeliner. Price doesnt really matter, just need suggestions. FYI, I use Mac Cosmetics.

Thanks!!!

I've learned that using baby oil is the best thing. It was an old trick that my mom used to use during halloween to remove our face paint for the night. Not only does it remove it easily, it also leaves your skin feeling very silky as well. Try it and let me know what you think.

First, I would suggest not using waterproof mascara or if you do try one that is botanically based or mineral based - such as Bare Escentuals, Arbonne or Origins. These are not so harsh on your lashes and you will probably not have as many lashes fall out. As for eye makeup remover, I use either Arbonne's makeup remover or Sweet Almond Oil (you can pick it up at your local health food store, Whole Foods or Wild Oats). Supposedly this is what Jackie O used to remove her makeup at night. Another tip is to keep all natural, alcohol free baby wipes on hand. These can be great to use in a pinch or when traveling. They are also great for getting makeup off your clothes! When you use eye makeup remover, use a cotton pad and do not rub your eyes - this will irritate your eyes and can also cause lashes to fall out. Be gentle! Good luck!! :) p.s. I am NOT affiliated with any particular makeup or skin care line at this time.

Estee Lauder makes a tissue off or wipes remover that is very good though a bit pricey.

Trader Joes has a great all-over makeup remover available in travel cloth packs. They are about $3.99

I found for myself using one for the whole face works best for me. Sometimes the eye removers make the skin dry or worse - you encourage wrinkles by pulling at the skin more than needed.

P.S. Mac has some ingredients that cause allergies in some people. Have you looked at Clarins eye makeup? They have a very beautiful brown that is easy to remove but stays in place all day.

So glad you're asking this! I found that any kind of eye make up remover from a drug store or Target, tend to make your eyes sting, because that's exactly what happens to me. Something that I liked a lot was a product by DHC. It was gentle to my eyes, and got the make up off really good. Another score that I liked was Body Time's oil make up remover. That works great also! They're natural and won't sting your eyes!

I really hope I could help! Good luck and shine on!

Honestly, Vaseline does the trick really well. It doesn't sting and won't dry out the area around your eyes. Just apply enough to cover the eye, then rinse with warm water and a washcloth. You could also use a cotton ball soaked in baby oil, for sensitive skin.

I had the same problem untill my mom bought me this very good stuff that takes of all your makeup! you would probolay think that the makeup you take off with this stuff was never there because this stuff goes deep into your skin and gets all the old makeup that soaked in your skin out!
It is called Mary Kay and it is oil free.
I think you can get it at walmart or a pharmacy.
best of wishes!

I like the one Lancome puts out or even Clinique. Both clean real well as well as moisturize which is important to me. Either one does not sting and are both very gentle.
