I'm freer.
I can see the bigger picture.
I have more faith in the 'real' meaning of life.
Money doesn't rule me...
I rather be poor than work a stifling 9-5.
I'm less traditional...
I don't have the 'family dream'.
Happiness is my goal--I'll through two college degrees down the drain...if I decide that I 'd be happier doing something else.
While I am ambitious...I'd put my career on hold to travel through India.
I don't feel the need to prove myself...to fulfill some role...to be who I am 'supposed' to be.
I'm not a slave to society's values...I do what's right for me.
I don't worry about the future...I live more for the moment.
I am okay to be alone...

I have much more materially & financially then my parents.
I have 1 child....they had 9
I'm an Atheist....they're devote Christians
I'm more traveled.....they never left the States.
But they were very happy and very good parents....so different doesn't mean bad.

I'm a clone of my father. I look like him, act like him, think like him. I do however, try harder in areas where he failed a bit. Like hugging my kids. My dad was stoic, very little emotion, very little passion about anything. That's the family trait that I want to die with me. My kids need to have affection given to them, and I will do it, even though it gives me the heebee jeebee's.
