no i don't agree. school is what you make of it. if you don't want to learn, you certainly won't. if you do, you will.

No! What is this a joke? School is not just waitin' around. I know we all hate school, but we have to go to learn and get an education if we want a good future in life. I've never came to this conclusion.

No. School is an environment created just for you to learn in, to teach you HOW to learn. Teach you how to THINK. There are lots of things wrong with school, but there are lots of things wrong every-where. There are lots of things right about schools, and many adults trying their hardest to make it better. If a student doesn't learn anything in school, they have decided not to. All the subjects you "have" to take are important, but the most important thing is to learn to think.. You will use that skill the rest of your life.
Why this conclusion? You were smart enough to ask why, you answer!

No, because I learned a tremendous amount while I was in school, and also on my own. I noticed that a lot of other people seemed bored, but I ignored them, continued to ask questions, answer questions, and I focused on my own development. I wasn't the most popular kid but I got into college and now I have a PhD and a job I love and an awesome salary.

I believe that "You are not what they teach. You are what you learn."
In school, you study, obviously. You learn to interact with others, work with others. You learn to deal with higher authorities. Sometimes you all get along, sometimes there are conflicts.
You do a job (study), interact with people.
School is effectively like a mini simulation of the real working society.
Be it something major like a death in the family, breakups etc or something as trivial as tripping and falling, there is something to take from every experience in your life. Every little thing we pick up shapes our perspective and molds our character as we go.
That's my take.
