I'm thinking about wearing my Death Eater costume to the Harry Potter OOTP movie release, as well as to pick up my book. I've also a friend I've convinced to join me.

Should I do it?

I am 19.

I don't need a costume to play a part... I play different roles every day. ^.^ But depending on the costume, I MAY play a part, or I might not just because I don't feel like it... 'cause I'm lazy. I was a ninja from an anime that I like for Halloween last year, and I wasn't even playing the part, but I was scaring children. ^.^

It depends on how old a person is to be decided its that is geeky or cute. It's cool to be that excited, but I think once a person reaches their late 20's/early 30's they should leave the costumes to the "kids". But thats just for me...If you want to dress up for a movie or book release, are comfortable, confident and having fun, then you shouldn't care what others say...do what makes YOU happy!! p.s. I'm soo excited about H.P. movie and book, I can barely contain myself! Have Fun!!

I'm actually hosting a costume contest for the store I work at for the release of book 7 so I say go for it.

Rock the costume! There is nothing cooler than getting really into something you love and having fun with it. I made House badges for my friends and I and we got robes to go with them.
My poor friend Rachel was one of two Hufflepuffs in the entire store.

Seriously, I'm gonna be 50 and doing this kind of stuff.

I think you should! When I dressed up for Pirates of the Carribean 3 I was in good company, and I think you will be too especially since Harry Potter is going to be huge!

I say go for it. I'm 21 I'll be going in costume with my (much) younger brother and another friend who wants to dress up and with a group of friends who will definitely not be in costume.

I figure it's just for fun, why not? I wouldn't call it 'cute'... definitely geeky.

If you think it will be fun and not misinterpreted as a KKK member, on the way to the movies, then go ahead.

Death Eaters and KKK member outfits do look remarkably similar you know.

Hell, I'm nearing 30 and I did it for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as well as POC3.. (although, I was sort of working the latter..it was part of a ren faire group)

Go for it.. and don't worry what anyone thinks about it.. have fun.
