there's something growing this week that smells like perfume. i actually thought that it was someone's perfume on the street. but i'm smelling it all over. i like it.

Is it mostly in the evening and night hours? if so this is night blooming jasmine..also hyacinth is extremely fragrant and you will smell this day and night if the wind is right

In the PNW we have Mockorange - Philadelphus, Roses, Russian Olive trees - Elaeagnus Angustifolia, Dames violet - Hesperis matronalis, and even the old fashion white Alyssum maritimum that smells like new mown hay can bloom with ambush quality fragrance.
Choisya ternata - Mexican Orange might still be blooming. Phlox and most scented lilies are still to come here.
