Yes they do. I had to get a passport for my 3 month old. I contacted the passort agency and they told me it is necessary. It is only good for 5 years.

When I was 6 months old we traveled from the US to Brazil, and yes, I needed a passport. I would make sure the baby has one, though I'm unsure on the laws of dual citizenship.

Yes, you do need a passport even for newborns. I had to recently check up on this myself.

i think they do & as newborn features change so rapidly, they need updated photos every 6mths until 2yo, then its 2 yearly (this was introduced to stop baby smuggling & abductions etc.) check with the embassy tho, theyd have accurate details for you

no newborns doesnt need a passport but the parents does need ones . but if youre child was least 9-over ages do need one but if just a baby no he or she doesnt need one at all.

if one of the parents is a US citizen, the child doesnt need a passport.
but im not positive in that... maybe its both parents that need to be a citizen..
id double check but im pretty sure.
