I just got new carpet, and I thought it would be cute to have house slippers as favors where I would tie a card on them representing the baby shower... where could I get cheap house slippers? Any ideas? Thanks!

I am also very anti-shoes in the house with kids crawling on the floor (you step in a gas station parking lot and then walk on the same carpet your baby lays on? no way!) I just had to say that this is a genius little idea, kudos!

I am very anti-taking off shoes while visiting, but I do like this clever idea and certainly would be happy with it! I'd also suggest the Dollar Store as a good place to go. Be aware that some may be unwilling to remove shoes (if you have foot problems, or wear special orthodics, taking your shoes off and getting them on again could be embarrassing or a real problem).

You could go to a beauty supply and get those el cheapos they use during pedicures. They aren't houseshoes per say, but you could buy a ton of them cheap, cheap, cheap. Or try a Dollar General Store.
