My oh my... where to begin.

The difference between an actor and a character depends on what you mean by character. For what the Disney site wants, they describe exactly what they want in each paragraph. If you do not meet the age restriction or the physical description then you may not apply. Disney is VERY specific in their requirements for characters that work in the park. The site you found gives information only for people auditioning to work at Disney theme parks, not TV shows and films.

If you want to be an actor on Disney Channel you will not find that information on a website like that. You need to get a talent agent who will find you the auditions and send you out on them providing you fit the description of what is needed and you are actually in the locale where the shows are being filmed.

My advice is to get into acting classes first and get into some theatre productions and maybe some student films... something to put on your resume before you attempt to get an agent.

Good luck

An actor- is a person who acts, or plays a role in an artistic production. The term commonly refers to someone working in movies, television, live theatre, or radio, and can occasionally denote a street entertainer. Besides playing dramatic roles, actors may also sing or dance or work only on radio or as a voice artist. A female actor may be known as an actress, although a minority prefer the term "actor" because of its gender-neutrality.

otherwise a character -is an actor's portrayal of someone in a play

Can't send you a link but can tell you that you have to be a character or at the very least in-character to be an actor! Actor's just act out a character----Whether or not you can act out the character is whether or not you can be an actor!

The site you are looking at is for the theme parks. Actors at the theme parks perform in shows and characters are the people that walk around in the Mickey, Goofy, etc. suits.

I would say a character is one who wears Micky, Minnie, Donald etc. costumes. . An actor plays in the skits and does the roles dressed in the appropriate attire. Sorry I can;t help with the site...........

Character is a non speaking part most likely.

The child actors you mentioned have agents. You need to contact an agent and your mom and Dad will have to sign a contract on your behalf because you are legally a minor.
