Why do you say "evil mom"? Is it because she sent you to a convent in England against your will? Are you there to study or to become a nun? You're not clear in your statement. BAck where I come from, convents can be a school or a monastery. So....?

This sounds like the begining of a gothic novel, penned by one of the Brontë sisters. I haven't writen gothic yet, but maybe I'll start.
