Making a copy for your own purposes is legal, making a copy for selling is illegal, making free copies for others is questionable. If you distribute it on sites like LimeWire, you can get caught if they can trace your DNS.

Yes illegal!
For personal use, not much chance of getting caught.
If you in mass production they might try a little harder

It doesn't matter if it is legal or not. If you are suspected of piracy the industry can bankrupt you under a ton of civil lawsuits.

if you rip the same one more than once and distribute at all for free or for money appearantly capitalists dont like it because it is money out of their pockets
