I love my Honda CRV.........runs well and even got space for everyone including dog and luggage.with excellent gas mileage.............
Also rather like the MDX but again not sure if that would fall into the range of SUV's................
Regards and really it is more what you are going to be doing with your car / truck and what are your needs out of a car / truck...............

Do you like the Chrysler HHR? Pretty good looking good on gas and you can put your family in it. It isn't a van or suv, I like the ruby red and the burnt orange. PT Cruiser is uncomfortable, but good on gas. Toyota Rav4 is a great car, it's not an suv, or a van but it isn't really a car traditionally either. Gas mileage is off the charts fantastic, low maintenance. Honda Element is a great fam vehicle, and is neither of those, either, I don't know about gas with this one. Google these models and see if any appeal to you. :)

Well, I like the Buick Road Master wagons and the Chevy Caprice wagons and then there's the Saturn wagons that are smaller but better on fuel.
There area few other wagons on the market but these are smaller foreign cars and too expensive to maintain for most folks who are looking for a decent used reliable car.
There are some decent mid-sized wagons still out there, too. My neighbor had a peach of a Oldsmobile that had been in a garage for most of its life.

I'd suggest a Mercury Grand Marquis or Ford Crown Victoria. They're cheap, very safe and roomy and even get decent mileage for a larger car!

Nissan sentra,s are really good on gas and also roomy inside,and are very good cars,their good for medium sized family also,a lot of people are buying them more and more these days,they have turned out to be to one of nissans best selling cars so far,good luck hope this helps.

I would go with a Honda Civic sedan. Not only is it good on gas but its safe. It has 6 air bags. Also uou cant go wrong with a Honda.
