Guys please tell me:

1. Can I cry when I am hurt sad over happy or feel sorry?

2. Why did my parents cusons told me not to cry ?

of course it's ok for a guy to cry....it's not good or healthy to hold it all in. If you cry too much though in front of others some may think it is a sign of weakness. I don't but I don't cry alot in front of peeps. Remember this.>>> real men cry too! peace out! :)

The rule is, if you feel like crying...then it's a good idea to go ahead in cry. There is a reason that you feel that way, holding it in will cause you more trouble.

True, people don't like to see males cry. Further, it's even getting that way for women. I guess if you can, cry in private.

By the way, I think you meant to type cousins.
They told you not to cry because they don't understand that men/boys are people too and we shouldn't deny our emotions anymore than girls/women. They are ignorant and are probably giving you bad advice on other topics as well. Take advice from people that have your best interest in mind and disregard people that are telling to to be or feel something that you are not.

Yes, it's ok to cry, even in front of people. I will say that since society (in the US anyways) teaches us men not to cry in public, you may not want to turn the waterworks at every opportunity. It's sad but true. But when something really moves you, good or bad, be real and let it out if you can't contain it. Women tend to respect a man who admits that he has a heart inside - and shows it. As for crying in private, do it as much as you please; it's healthy to let it out.

Hm, your cousins, again they were raised that way. Forget them. They can live a shallow, fake life, but you don't have to. You're better than that. If you ever have sons, let them know that it takes a real man to cry.

its OK to cry when some1 u love get hurt or passes away all man cry when something like that happens and those who say they don't all just a bunch of BS liars
but dude don't cry all the time cause girls don't like a man that cries all the time or more than they do

we as man are taught not to cry case we tough so that's why they told u not to cry

I have heard that some women actually find it sexy and sensitive when men cry. But if you start crying only shed a few tears. NOBODY likes when they see a guy bawling all the time

Of course you can cry. Real men aren't afraid to show their feelings. I shed tears of joy or sadness. I even cry when I pray at the altar in church.

My boyfriend cries really easily.I have no problem with it,although other people thinks that hes weak that he does.Your family told you that because guys are stereotyped into being 'strong' and not as emotional as girls.
Quite frankly..its fine to cry.Your only human after all.I think you dont have to worry about it.Cry all you want,but be careful who you share that with...someone might push you away.Crying privately might be best.

Yes you can but please not profusely. They told you not to cry because as a society men are taught not to cry. I am a woman and I do not want to be with a man who cries all of the time but once in a while it is ok. ~GL

Its ok for boys or men to cry, alot of men wont admit to cring but we do, we just hide it better than girls do! there is nothing wrong with crying! Dont be imbarrasses

please don't listen to people who tell you a man can't cry. real men, are men who are in touch with their emotions and are secure enough in their masculinity to cry and not feel ashamed. my son's father cried during the birth of our son - i don't think there is anything wrong with that. and my father is a very masculine man but he cries when he is overcome with emotion (and sometimes during a sad movie) and i love him for it! it makes him human and it makes him real.
