I've used it for over a year and it just started happening, maybe someone changed the settings?

This is a job for the phone company, call them to fix it you are paying for it.

No, just one of those filter you need to put in front of the phone broke.

i had the same problem before, you need to plug the filter in all other phone jacks. even those that are not connected to your computer. those empty hpone jack dont need to, just those that are connected to your home phones.
