The Republicans have been in charge for the lion's share of the time since 9/11 and correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't noticed anything done about our porous borders, or that ridiculous cursory check we call monitoring our ports. Two of our most vulnerable areas and yet they remain open to just about anything. So don't talk to me about Democrats being weak on national security. They hate terrorists too. In fact most of them would like to extradite us from policing a civil war so we can start dealing with the greatly expanded numbers of Al Queda who are setting up shop all over the Middle East while we linger in Baghdad.

To me, weakness means not being able to change a course that's clearly not working because your arrogant ego can't take it. It takes strength to look at a situation and say, I was wrong, this has got to change, let's look at other options. Al Queda has increased to three times its size since 9/11. If we don't get Baghdad in hand and start attending to that we're going to be in for some black days in this country. Fighting the small numbers of Al Queda that devil Baghdad isn't doing anything to stop the explosion of camps and cells all over the Middle East. Democrats seem to understand this basic fact, most Republicans I know are still struggling with admitting that Al Queda was never in Iraq before we invaded and left the door wide open for them.

Who was President when 9/11 happened?

Who's been in office for the last 7 years? If anything, your boy Bush is the one who's weak on national security.

Bull. President Clinton had an anti terrorism task force, it broke up 3 big plots (to bomb Seattle, to bomb LAX, and to blow up several jets over the Pacific). Upon being given the Presidency by the crooked republican judges on the supreme ct. one of bush's first acts was to break up that very task force. He was given an intelligence report that forecast exactly what happened on 9-11 over a month before it happened, and when he got it he went on vacation for a month to his ranch in Texas. THAT is weak. The same kind of disinterest and incompetence you saw in his response to Hurricane Katrina, and the recklessly engorged debt and his p poorly planned Iraq War. But thanks for asking.

It isn't their job. It isn't their interest. The republicans do that.
Agreed, going directly against it isn't exactly wise, but in truth the Democratic party has always stood for free speech, free expression, and equality. Although we've drifted quite far from those core values at times due to socialism sneaking into our membership, we were still successful at making those three values into household American values, probably one of the greatest political victories in the history of our country. We are grateful to the rest of the country for adopting them (after we fought so hard for it).

There may be things you'll have to fight for as well.
Stay true to your country, put it first, ahead of your ideology.
Put your political party second, behind your country.

Don't be scared to see me as a patriot if I clearly oppose you, but also put our country first. Also, don't be to "nice" to oppose me.

America wasn't made by dictators, either in the person of kings or political parties.

It was made by all of us, with different goals.

cut and run was a reponse to polling to mask the power grab from the razor thin mandate of last year. while maintaining a literal...no im not making this up...brain damaged senator in hospital to keep the majority we got 757gate, the territorial vote grant, we have no choice but to raise taxes and over 36000 carded requests for pork on the spending bill...bottom line here ethics were painfully similar to the last clinton administration and a dark cloud on the horizon should the pelosi/reid regime go unchecked.

Democrats are liberals and left...and I think they left their common sense buried somewhere. They really think it just won't happen here....really crazy since it already has! They will wake up too late!

For our own safety, we need to vote for a President who is tough!
