Gee, I don't think so. I heard a Republican caller on CSPAN the other morning saying the Republican Party was self destructing and that the Democrats had played their hand perfectly. He didn't think the Republicans could come back for a generation. I hope he's right. I'd like to see the Republican Party become the party of decent conservatives it once was when it had true leaders like Eisenhower, Lindsay, Brooke, McCall, Hatfield, Dirksen--all fine, decent people who would be appalled by what the neocons are doing. The debt that Mr. Bush has run up is an absolute disaster. That is NOT a Republican thing to do!

The democrats are socialists. They want to raise taxes on the producers and people who work hard to have a better life and redistribute it to the uneducated, the lazy and the poor. As a teacher I've seen just how lazy a lot of today's kids have become. They don't try. They are on welfare with $ 500 sneakers, cell phones, and iPods. I know that people need an occasional hand out, help, but welfare as become a way of life for some and I am sick and tired of my hard earned money going to support them and I am sick of my tax dollars being sent to other countries that thumb their noses at us. Bring home all non-combat troops, end all foreign aid, build a wall at the borders and use the money to improve education, transportation, and medical care. Abolish the IRS and create a national sales tax. When a politician democrat or republican does this he/she has my vote. The democratic party is self destructing. They have no ideas, only accusations. They are the party of negativity, the party of cowards.

Sorry honey. . . I think you mean the Republican Party.

You need to clean off those rosey-colored glasses and see things for what they really are. Even with a low approval rating, 54% of the voters feel the Dems are still better than the Republicans. Can't say that Bush would get the same answer. . .

To the liberals, the congress in disarray is progress.
Look at the answers, "What self destruction?", "It's better than we have now!".
