My wife had Hyperemisis on her first pregnancy, and had two pick lines. We are going for another and she is getting really sick again. I heard about a new bracelet or something that helps with the nausea. What tips or pointers can you give me to help my wife get through this?

they are called sea bands... they didn't work that well for me.
the only thing that took even the edge off for me was unisom (25mg tablets) and vitamin B6(50mg) taken together 3-4 times a day.

emetrol syrup works for some
phenergan works for some
one of my friends said that fun sized snickers worked for her
another friend said standing over the washer while it was running made her sickness tolerable (something about the smell of the soap)

They are called Sea-Band. You can get them in most "pharmacy" type stores like walgreens, rite aid, etc.

Pay attention to the directions. There are specific pressure points thay they should hit on the inside of the wrist.

I had to be medicated due to how bad my hypermesis was. Here are all of the different things I tried.

Eat ever 2 hours without fail. Never let yourself get empty, it makes it worse!

Ginger altoids or candied ginger - helps with nausea, not with heartburn.

Papaya Enzyme - Good for nausea, and helped me with constipation.

Before even moving from bed in the morning, eat saltines or pretzels, dry and salty...

Slow movements - pregnancy can alter your vision due to the extra blood flow behind the eyes. Fast movements can add an almost - seasick- feeling. Take it slow.

Best of luck to you!!

Try ginger tablets. They did a test on seasickness on the show Mythbusters and they were the only thing that really worked. I guess you could find them in the vitamin aisle or in the herbal section.

Yeah, they're motion sickness bands. But I have read somewhere that they do help with nausea. I think you can get them at the drugstore, or maybe the hospital drugstore/ gift shop place.

It helps with motion sickness. There is no indication that it helps with pregnancy sickness. Here's a link to several products. I certainly would try them. She has to be pretty miserable.
