I think you should read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.

I am not a Christian, but I do not believe any book should be burned, especially not on our Nation's Independence Day.

I believe you have succeeded in starting a debate and are delighting in the entertainment it has brought you in watching people argue over it. That is all I will say about that.

No.

BTW, where in the Constitution is a separation of church and state. Answer not there. You cannot celebrate something that does not exist

the constitution has no words saying separation of church and state.

it clearly says:

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Why don't you suggest burning a Koran to signify hope that religion will no longer dominate their socities?

I think I'll pay my respects to some of the dead vets who made sure we all still have the right to remain ignorant of the constitution and to act like a jerk.

I bet quite a few folk would abuse their slaves because of course they were freed a generation earlier throughout the British Empire.

I thought you were going to say "shoot roman candles while holding it between your butt cheeks."

When I think July 4th, I think of burning butt hair. It's like peanut butter and jelly.

I was crestfallen when I read your suggestion as I was sure it would be roman candle in the butt cheeks. *sigh*

I think that is a little too original for me. But thank you for thinking of me.

It's your right to do so, but remember, it was because of God fearing people that fought and died for the right to worship God as they choose that you have that right. As much as you Liberals hate God, you'll never be able to take that fact out of our American History.
