No I don't think it is strange. But it is rare.
I ,like you , became interested in philosophy at an early age and I do not regret it because the Q's get better as I learn and understand more and more about these 5 major areas--God and Religions, the Self & other Selves, Nature & Science, Existence & Life, and the connections between those 4 areas and the metaphilosophical triad consisting of Meaning, Logic, and Truth. I think right now I am interested most in the many questions about consciousness which are addressed in Cognitive Science and Philosophy of Mind.
Please don't be discouraged by those who lack interest in philosophy and often have have no insight into any of the hardest Q's you will ever try to answer. I only wish the internet had existed back then when I was watching the first episodes of Star Trek in my Dorm back in 1969.
see this current BBC article on teaching philosophy to young people:

This is the age of curiosity. The WHYs , the WHATs and the WHENs. If the young mind has grown in an atmosphere ( at home or ouside) of calm thinking and higher value systems , then it is natural for a young mind to look for those avenues.
In 9 out of 10 cases the young have seen only dating , picnics, sexual arousal, and games. This is what they at home and they think this the Graduation route.
There are some , a growing number , who are interested in bigger issues. They still DONOT know that it is philosophy till some tells them that it is! And why should they know?
In the eastern world , a concerted effort is on to include philosophy in school curriculum with emphasis on Self Knowledge. This may be a first step towards more such Philosophical thnking.
You are on a exhilarating path.

Every human being needs a philosophy to live by. To be interested in understanding what philosophy you should choose while you are young is the right thing to do and it will help you better understand the challenges of life than most, provided you never abandon your rational thinking to determine why some concepts are real and true and others are just plain false.

Of course it's not strange!
I became interested in philosophy when I was about 13.
I think when you're a young person you're actually MORE interested in such things.
Ignore what your friends say if they think it's strange, more young people today should be thinking like you.

No, it's not strange, it is good...I'm not much older than you, and I've been interested in philosophy for a long time. I think it just says that you are curious and intelligent, especially for your age. Hopefully you keep up your interests.

No. I'm 16 and I'm very interested in Philosophy. I only knew what Philosophy really is about last month! I'm sure I would be interested in it just the same if I knew about it earlier. :)

some of the life experiences you are learning from others on this website and the thought provoking questions you are answering about your own life, attitudes, beliefs may prove to teach you equally as much (if not more) than some of the stuff you learn in the traditional classroom. it is great that you are seeking new insights, wisdom, info and knowledge. it will challenge you, inspire you and cause you to expand your own thought process and learn to consider other viewpoints and opinions to make your own. :)

There is nothing wrong with it, no matter what the age. My kids are both seven (twins), and my daughter is already asking me philosophical questions. Follow your interests, there's bound to be a reason for it.
