Seriously, I haven't bought a cd since 1999 and I don't ever think I will again... If I lived in the USA I would go crazy having to actually pay for music and movies ...

If the music's good, I'll definitely buy it and support my favorite artists. If I'm just starting to get into new music, I'll download free stuff to see if I really like it or not. If I like it, then I'll go purchase their CDs (I don't like buying MP3s, I like to own something tangible).

Well...sometimes I'll go to the library and borrow the album, then burn all the songs onto my computer. I feel less guilty that way (don't ask me why--I guess stealing songs off the internet feels worse than burning a CD you borrowed from the library).

The majority of people steal it. Sometimes they'll buy a CD as a gift or if they really like the artist. But there are those people that still buy all their music.

CD sales have tremendously decreased in the past couple of years. With the popularity of the Internet and album leaks before the release date, it comes as no suprise that more people are downloading instead of purchasing.
And with the economy, no one has the money these days. Perhaps if the record companies charged less for CDs, sales will increase. But show business people are greedy.

I have too many performer friends in the business to consider stealing their music.... If it is in the "Public Domain" then I use it.. If it is still under copy-write, then it is immoral and illegal to use it unless you pay the royalties by purchasing the CD.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

I listen to a lot of internet radio; most of the music out there today isn't worth buying.

The artists need to be paid for their time and work. Putting a CD together takes a lot of time. How would YOU like it if someone took YOUR money from your job?
You're a thief and need to either pay back the artists or see some jail time.

Some of us steal it from the Internet, and some of us buy it from the Internet, and some of us buy it from record stores.
