I'm bored so I'm just asking a random question

If you make a clone of yourself and that clone is going to kill you, but instead you got the better of him/her, is it consider murder? Don't say it's self-defense because that's not an option. The only options are Yes, why? and No, why? Thanks!

Ok, very very good question. First of all, even if you made the clone yourself, it would not be raised up to your age under the identical circumstances, so it would end up being a slightly different person [or even quite different]. Presumably, if you can make a clone of yourself, you're already an adult, and you cannot reproduce your own childhood. No way. So, the clone would actually be genetically the same but personality-wise different. It would be murder in self defense, but only if you were assaulted by the clone with a deadly weapon! Otherwise, plain old murder. Thank you for the excellent brain teaser.

How do I know if I am the Clone or the real person? Maybe I just think I am the real person.

I kill the real person, thinking it is the Clone.

The real person is dead, because I, the Clone, killed him.

It is MURDER

But wait, now that the Real person is dead, don't I become the real person?

Yes, I do!

There was one of me, which became two, I feed the body to the Hogs and I am one again and there is no Murder
.

Ha ..Ha ..ha you think it is a random question? Just sit back and think whether already there is a clone within you. You will catch the clone.

This has been appropriately called Conscience , instead of clone.

Every action of ours is scrutinised by our conscience all the time and we almost always overrule it and do what the external world demands. The conscience kills you albeit slowly.

Things we do not like to do, things that we find intolerable, the rich/poor divide , the social injustice ... every issue tells us to act . Act ,we donot and turn our back with a small prick of our conscience.

A million pricks in a life time we are killed .

is it murder when you mass-terminate your semen on porn and sleazy mags? lol
seriously, a clone is as real as it gets. it's not an artificial lifeform like an android or robot. if you kill a clone, you are morally liable for your action. it is the same as killing another human being. whether it is murder or not depends on the motive and the law of the land where the killing took place. it's the court that should decide on that.

Hmmmm. I would say no, because it's just a clone and not the real me. But the law might see it differently.
