There's a very good chance that you are bothered by the chlorine in your bath water. I put a showerhead filter and within a week, my itching was gone. It was so bad that I would toss and turn for at least an hour after going to bed. I bought mine @ letstalkhealth.com. for $55. Also, get an organic vegetable base bar soap at a health food store. Really worked for me...

I have it too, it's called dry skin... when your soap has alcohol it dries your skin so it starts to itch. Your skin flakes and when you scratch it leaves a white mark in your skin.
It's either that or an allergy.... some people can't be too long with wet skin otherwise they get an allergy.
It's really annoying but nothing serious.

If you itch in just a certain spot, it could be something you are using on your face that you are allergy to. if it's all over your body it can be the kind of soap you are using. My skin itches when I use any kind of perfumed soap. When I started to use a anti-bacterial soap the itches stopped.

It is more than likely dry skin. You might want to see a dermatologist to validate that.
The soap you are using might also cause your skin to itch.
Once again however, I think seeing a dermatologist, will give you the correct answer.

Your body itches naturally. After showers, if you have been in the grass or outside, the water may cause itching from small cuts that you can't see.
