should a 10year old boy shower EVERYDAY or is every OTHER day alright?

It really depends on if the boy's puberty has started yet. If it has, then I would suggest doing it everyday. Especially because boy play a lot, too. If not, then every other day is fine.

As he is living with others, it would be more respectful of those others and of himself for him to bathe or shower each day.

Depending upon the activities one has been involved in, such as digging, serious play, sports, painting, swimming in the ocean, etc., bathing or showering may need to be done more than once a day.

i say every other day is fine, in the summer my son spends so much time in a chlorinated pool i think every other day is still OK. Clearly, if he stinks, have him shower :) I consider myself lucky if i get him in more than 3 times a week!

When I was growing up in the Middle Ages, we only got one bath a week, Saturday night.

My dad was raised on the Canadian frontier. They sewed him and his siblings into their long underwear in October and cut it off in April.
