I am trying to move a song from my iTunes library to a CD so i can move it to another computer. I have inserted a brand new Verbatim disk it is CD -RW and holds 700MB and i keep on getting an error msg saying that the disk may be corrupt or not formatted. So then i tried to just burn it straight from iTunes but i dont think the lap top has a CD burner and then i tried to insert a floppy disk but its not big enough to hold the file. Not sure what to do try now.. Is there any way i can format the CD?

Bypass this process. Get a multi gig travel bus drive. transfer your music. Pop it right over and put it into the other computer. Or if the computers are close just do a computer to computer hook up. I really like the travel drive. I use it for photos and music and anything else I need to have with me. Fits on my key chain. Makes it all easy. If you are trying to move music by disk get a DVD disk, It holds more and is formatted for music.

Your laptop needs a CD burner in order to burn CDs. If your laptop has a floppy drive, then it must be pretty old. You can use a compression program like WinAce or WinZip to compress the large file, and spread it out across several floppy disks. 7Zip is a free program that can split files too. (WinAce & Winzip are shareware)
