But what's the use of woman's rights? I mean, men and woman were put on earth to do seperate things; why is there any need to break gender barriers?

Blessing,
Kate Rose

Beth you stole the words from my mouth.

And I don't even care to vote, hardly be president! My husband Adrian's vote is good enough to support his whole family, and I just don't want to break the traditional order and suddenly get a female president.

My daughter is reading the American Girl Felicity books, I love them and I think they have very good ideas. It's great that they're preparing their daughter to be a proper housewife at young age, and I wish people still did it today.

I just like things to stay in the natural order.

Men should support the family and protect them, and the woman should stay home and take care of their men and family. Always worked great until woman burnt their bras.

I think there are appropriate things for a woman to do and things not appropriate. For instance, a woman cannnot be in a tank unit in the military. They also cannot be in infantry, like fighting on the front lines. They usually cry for equal rights then cry if they are put in a position they can't handle. For instance, every single time you watch COPS, why do women always have to call for backup? It's because they need a male officer to take down suspects. They can't do it on their own. But if they don't get hired onto the police force they scream sexual discrimination.

It goes for men as well. I don't think men make good preschool teachers or kindergarten teachers. There is no way I would let my child go to a kindergarten class where a man was the teacher. Once they are in middle school its fine, they don't need a motherly figure around all the time.

It goes both ways. People know it but they are too blinded by the whole "equal opportunity" theme to admit it.

When it comes other things like doctors, lawyers, bus drivers, etc. there shouldn't be sexual discrimination.

Women's rights aren't being sought out because women want to take the place of a man. It's just that we want to get out of the little boxes that we are constantly being put in. Sure there are certain roles that males & females play, naturally., but there's more to us as individuals. Some women want to stay at home, but some want to make their own paper. Some women want to be mothers, but some NEVER want to have children. Woman's rights allows us to pick our own paths without someone saying that we can't or we shouldn't. Lastly, woman's rights says that we don't have be taken advantage of in the workplace. Same work, same pay, say respect.
Women's rights are to break gener BARRIERS, not the gender itself.

Men and women weren't just put on Earth to do separate things. We're all human beings, and despite our gender difference, we're all equal. Without women's rights you wouldn't have the liberty of:
1. Working and getting a pay check every week.
2. Going out and enjoying time with your friends.
3. Receiving an education./
4. Driving

Without women's rights, what would we be? Where would we be?

In the really old days, women were considered chattle (there's a good reason why it rhymes with cattle), and female children were the property of their fathers. The tradition remains of the father "giving away" the bride. During the transfer of this property, the bride promised to obey her new owner. Kate, it's no longer a man's world. Separate, yes, but equal.

because both sexes should be treated equally, a woman is just as smart and strong as a man, but history shows that the common thought is men are superior....i am not an extreme femininst, but i think my sex deserves the chance to break away from that common thought and prove that equality is among both sexes

I have a bid question mark on my head...

What do you mean "why is there any need to break gender barriers?". People do things because they want to not because of a gender thing. I don't see why you wouldn't want that.

Without womean's rights we wouldn't be given good education, be able to run for president, get a good job or even vote. The freedom that you enjoy now would be gone.
