So it's ok to pretend to torture people for entertainment purposes, but not to secure a country.

Rats, I thought this question was going be if it's ok to torture liberals, which of course is OK, they make funny whiny noises.
OK, libs are going to say 'it's a movie, it's not real' but they're going to miss your point that they're still creating it for profit and entertainment purposes and that some will enjoy watching it. Libs can do this because they have no conscious. If they had a conscious in addition to the paranoia they would never be able to sleep.

very properly, you're speaking approximately torture, not detainment. the place contained in the merchandise does it say that the detainees are being tortured? while did Obama ever say that he replaced into against the belief of detaining enemy warring events and not using an ordeal? In gitmo, human beings have been getting water boarded, disadvantaged of sleep for long sessions of time, etc... those are kinds of torture. preserving somebody in a cellular isn't oftentimes seen torture.

1. movies made in Hollywood are fake. the people in those movies are alive the next day and getting paid for it.
2. Real U.S torture their not alive the next day and not getting paid for it. they have real marks on their body not fake marks like the ones in Hollywood.
3. torture is torture. cruel is cruel. and how would you know if it less cruel than saddam extremist. maybe it might just be more cruel. do you want someone to put you in water and have psychological damage because you think your drowning. or have someone wake you up in the middle of the night and have you sit in uncomfortable positions for longs periods of time.
4. torture never works. ever. you can't tell if the person is lying or telling the truth. they just want it to stop so they'll say whatever you want them to say.

Where do you draw the line? Would you condone an American sticking a cigarette into someones eye in order to get information? Or threatening to kill that persons infant child unless they talked? The terrorists have used power drills to torture our GI's. If they drill 2 holes into a soldiers head but we only drill one into one of their guys heads are we better than they are? Where is the line and how do you know how far across it we've gone?

You know something is wrong when people start politicizing non-political media and culture as either liberal or conservative. So it's OK to torture now even though they claim its not torture, just "enhanced interrogation techniques".

I had to sit through 2 and a half hours watching ' Evita ' one time with some friends.

If that wasn't cruel torture and punishment from Hollywood I don't know what is .

I've noticed that too.

It seems the trend in today's "horror" films is more and more about torturing and abusing women and marveling at the new ways to do it. It's pretty sick and it sends a very bad message.

And you're right, the silence from activists on the left is deafening. Not a peep about it from the Women's Lib movement. But, then again, they endorsed Clinton, twice.

It is definitely sick and demonstrates what the left truly thinks of women.

Wave goodbye to reality buddy, you've lost it. comparing real life torture to fiction is just not a viable thing to do.
