I have a 2000 Monte Carlo, my blinkers will not work half the time, and my brights won't click and stay on?

Sounds like a possible bad multi-function switch... (the turn signal lever/high beam lever)

I agree with the first answer here, the multi function switch controls both of the features that are acting up on your car. Have it checked and or replaced.

These things are controled in the steering houseing.You should have a local shop or dealer check this for you.Best of luck.
