Yes, they absolutely do sleep. These cazy people who say they have to keep swimming are confusing fish with some kinds of sharks, but alas, sharks "sleep" too.

Yes they sleep, as with every animal its system slows down requiring less oxygen the simple movement of the gill plate is sufficient to provide the flow, this is an automatic ability much the same as it is when you go to sleep, you don't stop breathing.

yes. fish like all other water animals "sleep". they shut off half their brain. so they can still keep breathing and swimming but they can also rest at the same time.

No. They cannot sleep because they have to keep moving. If they stop moving, water doesn't travel over their gills, and they suffocate. They rest, but they don't "sleep" like other animals do.

No beacuase they have to keep moving. But sometimes they might rest their eyes and then continue moving.
