Why, the prisoners eh detainees have 3 hots (muslim religious cooking), ocean view, warm tropical breezes, how would anyone want to leave to the dry dusty region of the middle east?
On the other hand, these are nasty people that want to KILL you, why bring them on the US soil? That is right, the ACLU will protect them.

Yes we should close the foreign prison at GTMO. I was stationed there for three years. How much time did you spend there??? As for anyone undermining the war effort how can you undermine anything that never had a plan? Do not start blaming the Democrats for the failure of the well informed republicans. lets face Junior got into something that he does not have the brains to get out of.

Closing Gitmo doesn't mean release of all detainees. It just means detainees will be held in US prisons under US laws.
They'll continue to capture terror suspects whether Gitmo is open or closed. And this Gitmo have become to symbolize all the wrong things the US is doing. This thing is just magnet for international human rights criticism. It's good thing Gitmo will be closed.
No need to get too creative trying to by pass US laws by setting up off shore prison camp when they think we are in war time and such detainment camps can be justified anyways.
