I think it just goes to show that he is (or has) accomplished something that we will probably never know about...And NO I am not a Bush supporter but I have to believe that someone who is that immune to criticism has to be accomplishing something else.....Who knows what that administration has accomplished in the shadows?

No matter what he does, the group that are anything but Bush will not approve. Since they are going to be against him anyway their voice has lost all value.

The reason one chooses which fights to engage in is precisely for that reason.

If the anything but Bush wish to have their voice matter, the need to start vocalizing thought out solutions.

Personally I'm not sure the anyone but Bush crowd is the majority. The pollster can phrase their questions to get the out come they want. It is likely the judge gave the sentence to force Bush's hand.

BTW The conservatives knew he had stopped carry what they thought when he started pushing for amnesty.

I believe he has shown that he doesn't care for many years, why should he, he thinks he's doing the right thing by his "Father", just another half-baked religious zealot thinking he's supporting his God. This will go down in history as the Crusades part Duex. Too bad the leaders don't have to lead. There would be no wars. Ps, I always thought he and his little english buddy were wankers anyway. Let Skoot have a little free time, with a little luck it will be a multiple hanging.

It is obvious that no America president would care about his or her popularity if they're not allowed to run for re-election. What is the point of being a popular leader if there is no election to fight over? You're going to retire anyway so it makes no difference whether you're popular or not you're still entitled to the same conditions as any other former president.

I don't think there's nothing new in this approach. He's never cared, although he recently met up with intellectuals -oh my god!- to ask them how he will be remembered. I doubt he can correct anything by now. Scooter Libby's case is just one more thing that adds up to the very long list... the "war against terrorism", the Patriot Act, Afghanistan, Irak, the public health system, Katrina, the CIA, Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, etc, etc, etc.

Bush has never really cared what the majority thinks , he has always done what he fills is best for the nation, unlike someone else who was in office right before him and has a wife who is wanting to run for office now.

He hasn't cared about popularity since the last election and he really has no motivation to care about his popularity. Being popular is not going to win him another election (he has already won two and is ineligible to run again).

FYI: The President is the chief executive, not the public's voice. The public's voice is Congress.

He is to shelter to care. He is wrapped in is own self importants along with the rest of his Nazi friends. It's like I don't gave a dam about what America wants, its my way or the highway. I think Dem's have made a mistake by not trying to Impeach him and Cheney long ago.

What’s wrong with America electing such a crooked President in the first place?

He never cared what Americans think of him, and cares even less now that he's a lame duck and doesn't have to worry about being re-elected.
