It's not amazing, just a sad reflection on our current cultural state as a nation.

I think most people do not know the meaning of 4th of July because we usually call it "4th of July" instead of "Independence Day." People just like to watch the fireworks, but they do not know the real reason why there are fireworks. Independence Day is America's birthday! I am really amazed that Americans do not know it!

No, it doesn't amaze me at all. Most people just aren't interested in America's history as they used to be.

I'm not American and I know what 4th July is about so I'm shocked! That would be like us Australians not knowing when Australia day is, or Chinese not knowing when Chinese New Year starts!

its not amazing.. its pretty pathetic. but i think everybody knows the meaning of July 4th. cept for kids and babies under 4 or so.. well even they should know.

I think all people were created by god and so all countries races religions are equal and I like the fireworks but the rest means nothing to me, no offense
