I don't have alcohol pads. I put ice on it already. I put ointment on the hole. Everytime it closes up, i wash the hole out gently to keep it open. I can't put another earing in there w/o it hurting, but i don't want the hole to close. I put a fake earing in my ear and that's how it got swollen. Please help if u can. thanks.

keep doing what you are doing.. one thing to try is using another earing (stud preferred) and put the end in neosporin.. (also try using it on the lobe itself as well). that's what I always did.. and have not had one close on me yet. (even in the cartiledge)
It will still hurt for awhile though..

I think you are haveing alergy of metals other then gold/silver.
The best thing is you have to use the dry central part of compound leaf (preferable neem leave).
This would keep your ear hole open and at the same time , being a natural antibiotic would keep the germs away.
My wife also had the same problem, it works good for her. When ever she goes outside she wears what ever she desires.
Bye

everything must be well disinfected, use peroxyde or whatever, then insert a golden earring, even if it hurts, or one made of chirurgic steel, and leave it untouched, except for splashes of disinfecting liquid, until it is fixed. if it keeps hurting and producing yellow stuff you will probably need some antibiotic ointment.

One traditional medicine remedy is to insert neem bark into your piercing. Neem bark is an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. Ask someone who grows medicinal plants for one.
