No, I mean for your questions. Do you put them to vote? Do you trust that strangers will really choose the best answer?

There's no Democracy where people can create as many accounts as they wish, to vote for themselves. Yahoo! must find a way of preventing this, if this feature is to be trusted!

i do vote on other people's questions. i try to not let my questions go to vote, because no, i don't trust 'everyone' to pick the best answer, or even a good one all the time. the feature is a good idea to allow questions to be closed, but it also leads to a popularity contest along with the dreaded thumbs-down and block user features.
i guess it's necessary to bring 'closure'. perhaps there's a better way, but when you consdier the volume of questions on YA compared to when we first started, i doubt that anyone's up for the job of 'answers arbitrator'.

Mostly I just choose the best answer myself but if I can't decide or if its a type of question that I don't really want to decide myself, I like putting it out for a vote.
I just wish that there was more incentive so that more people would actually vote instead of stacking up all those questions left in limbo.
As far as trusting 'strangers' to pick the right answer. Isn't that what democracy is, letting the mob decide. Democracy can sure be ugly sometimes but what is the alternative?
Even us megalomaniacs don't know all the answers and sometimes have to look to the foolish masses for inspiration...
...Besides exactly how meaningful is ten yahoo points in the relative scheme of things anyway?

I spend a bit of time voting every day. I like the idea of being part of a group of arbitors for someone who couldn't be bothered to tend their own question. It really isn't fair that someone took the time to give an answer and then gets no feedback at all. I love when the questioner edits their post and gives clever little rejoinders or hints as to how the whole thing is going as well.

I don't ask many questions. When I do, I've decided on the answer. I've noticed that some people that get a lot of responses leave it to vote though. I figure they're having a hard time deciding. Sometimes I don't get it when they extend the voting time, especially when it isn't a great question

I never send mine to be voted on. I like knowing I did the best I could to pick one. People answered my questions, and I feel I should take the time to pick best answer.
I don't like the vote feature because everybody doesn't vote, and I may not like the answer they choose.

You mean the voting for undecided questions.... well, it's the only way to pick a Best Answer if the asker doesn't do it him/herself, but it's not fair sometimes because many people always pick the first answer as Best, no matter the quality... they just want the free point.
I use the "Vote" feature... I pick the first answer that I like.

I like the vote feature... I think it gives people an opportunity to share which answers they like even if they didn't ask the question. I use! I like to read the answers and try and pick the best one and its nice to see if people agree with me.

I always choose them myself, because in voting, the 1st answer usually wins, because people just fly through and vote the 1st one, for points. Usually anyway. I've gotten some best answers like that, but I like to resolve my own.

It's a good way of avoiding the potential narcissism of choice - and an interesting way to assay the opinions of others, whether one agrees with them or not. Of course, it can be difficult to distinguish democracy from mob rule. But if you like the mob and are interested in them, there's nothing to lose, is there.
