Just don't go anywhere where there are cranes if it bothers you so much. Are you any good at it? If so, you can work it to benefit you.
You are too young to have any kind of personality disorder, so don't listen to any people who say that. I have an entire family who has addictive problems and I have always been careful to watch myself, it sounds like that is what you are doing as well. But just because you are craving cranes, it doesn't mean you are going to be an alcoholic someday.
I like what the person said about pursuing a career in construction so then you can work with cranes. You can turn your obsession into something that benefits you.

instant gratification or denial
what do you need that is lacking?
what do you seek that maybe aquried by other means?
you recognize within your self a problem, you must therefore respond to it with self control.
set limits for yourself...only spend $5.00 at one time and no more.
you get the rush you want but are mature enough to understand that addiction has consequences, and while those consequences maybe different for a 13 yr old addict then for a 40 yr old addict the path between them only takes
time.
if you cannot control yourself ask your friends/family to help you (tempoarily) find better uses for your money...like a charity that you admire. helping others instead of yourself.
in the end you are the only one in charge of your addiction-whether you rule it or it rules you.

The trades are an excellent field now with lots of opportunities... if you learn how to operate a crane you'll be able to make some serious cashh. Go with itt! If it's your passion, why nott? Not like it's a bad thing... it's just odd.

The best advice i can give you is to encourage you to talk to your pastor about it and ask if he or she has time to set apart for you two to talk about it?
Also ,you Can break the family addictive behaviors ,hang in their !

this actually does seem like a gambling addiction - paying money at a chance to win something, that's gambling
avoid places with cranes
tell people not to let you play them - at all
find information and support now to keep this from getting worse and going on to other games
good luck

No it's not weird I'm the same way. I've found that if I limit myself to just 50 cents (unless I almost got it) then it seems to be ok. I also only play if I think I can win (which is always) Anyway I know how you feel just try to limit yourself or try not looking. Good luck!

You have what is called an "addictive personality disorder" and you should seek help before it escalates into a problem which may hurt your life.

I thought they were a protected species. Where were you able to buy them, especially so cheaply?
I do agree with you though... they are fascinating birds! So beautiful when they soar overhead!
No need to "play" them, though... surely honesty is a better approach?
