No. There must be a reason for choosing something so serious. Besides.you don't have to put up with any ones' feelings just because his all cried out.If that person is not at least a bit proud then it doesn't deserve to be your friend. That person should respect your decision. They just cry so much because they're spoiled and believe that they own everything. When they lose it they'll do anything to get it back.I'm I being too hard? Life's hard buddy!

Kinda yes i did. i tried to end my friendship with my old best friend. she betrayed me and lied to me. She is the worst bestfriend anyone could have ever had. When i told her i was breaking off my friendship with her, she cried. i didnt care for her anymore. And she tried to earn her trust back slowly and would talk to me once in a while to build up our friendship because after i broke off my friendship with her she became an instant loner. but now we arent really friends just acquaintances. but you should do what you want because its with your feelings and whatever that friend did to you that made you feel like that..shouldnt be your friend. hope this helps.

Yes this has happened to me, however I was not ending the relationship, I was setting firm boundries. And in letting them know I wouldn't break those boundries not even for them, they were hurt. I explained why I had to do it, and that I would still be their friend, but I wouldn't put up with certain behaviors from them, and if they went ahead and did it anyway, I would simply leave and talk to them later. The person eventually chose me instead of the actions.

I have one of those...I think he is the most incredible person I have ever meet and we are constantly trying to be friends but I feel much more than friendship and wish it was more and it always gets in the way... We are contastly splitting up as friends and coming back, dating off and on and then off again. Its an insane relationship...going on about 10 years now

Yes, yes, no.
I tried, they cried, and it was over.
He was getting really stubborn, and acting like a jackass, so I just said I couldn't deal with it anymore. And that was the end. We've only spoke a few times since then.
He is the only friend whom I have told that to. And hopefully, I won't have to say it to someone else.

I haven't gone that far, but one time there was a girl that acted like we were best friends, and I didn't really know why... and I didn't really hang out with her all the time, because I usually just hang out with myself anyway, and she asked if I hated her, and I felt bad. Then I started hanging out with her more, and now we're actually good friends... that doesn't happen to me very often haha.
