I don't think anyone sets out to fail in life but its those little roadblocks in life that keep us from succeeding where we wanted to go in the start. Failing doesn't mean that we failed but should or makes us go forward to strive to make us where we want to be after the fact. Failing makes most of us stronger and find our weak points.Failing most times makes us a better more stronger person. ( I know that for fact). Hope this answers your question.

Why would you set out to fail in the first place?

did you fail to fail or did you fail to succeed? If you set out out to fail and you succeed in failing then you have not failed, you have succeeded in doing what you set out to do.

No, because in failing, you succeeded, which means you basically failed.
