Being a dual core processor rated at 2.20GHz, that's the total speed of both cores. It's not double 2.20.

No, Think about it like this for a second, a 4.4 ghz processor wouldn't be able to run on a stock air cooler because the clock speed is far too high or else we'd have over 3 ghz AMD single core CPUs, altogether the cores produce 2.2ghz. It just feels faster because each processor can be dedicated to different tasks

For all intense purposes it is a 2.20 both cores are rated at this, but the jury is still out on whether or not a dual core processor could be sold as a 4.4. Cuz you know as well as I do if they could market it and sell it as a 4.4 the price would be higher.

This is not a 4.4 Ghz proc. it has two executable cores, NOT two processors. So it can complete multiple tasks better and faster but that DOES NOT mean that you can times the two cores together. They also share the same FSB and cache so it isn't like having a 4.4 Ghz proc.

I guess it would depend on how hot you CPU is getting. Turn off your computer and restart it. Go in to your BIOS and find the Computer Health section (may be named something different) and see how hot your CPU is running and how fast your fan speed is. It should not go over about 70 degrees Celsius (Approximately).

NO, only 2.2Ghz. No matter what instruments you put in there, you will never find that 4.4Ghz. But your computer can run 2 applications simultaneously at full 2.2Ghz speed whereas a single core would be struggling. Multithreaded apps would also run fast.

it has two cores overall and they distribute the work load, but they are only 2.2 GHz of computing power, however, compared with a single core 2.2 GHz, the duo core seems much faster because of its ability to even divide its work load
