I was recently reading threw all these responces to questions and noticed how some thought it was stupid. Why is that? are they afriad that the information is too acurate that it is scary? do they believe that a humans personality shouldnt be able to be so easly made into words? are they afride that is tells them what to do? Like i said earlyer i was shocked, but i know the wise words of "teach his own" but to fully understand this alien thought i must know why they think this way. I am a very opend minded person and just love this, it is very hard for me to see why people hate it. *I am a virgo, moon is ether scorpio or sagitarius, and my ascendent is Libra or leo... but all 4 seem to be right about me*

Everyone has his/her own beliefs...Astrology is know as a pseudo science.. and some people believe it clashes with their religion. If just might be coincidental that some things in astrology may appear to be accurate... like compatible signs in friendship and love. I know I have compared myself with others I have had relationships with or married to, and I have found the astrology readings to be nearly always true.

Actually most of us need not to bother with that, and a selection of nerds need to pass the torch.
That's because, we might hold here a sort of deep truth about mankind. And, it's like they say, knowledge is power.
Therefore it's ok to build schools and cultivate workers while occulting some basic truths. Otherwise the business mechanisms, which in a sense protect us, would not stand.
The truth simply does not matter. Productivity does, love does, happiness does, and harmony does.

The expression is "TO EACH his own" and it's spelled "earlier".
You provide the answer yourself. Believing in astrology requires having failed in modern education.
Many people have studied logic or have an ounce of common sense to be able to QUESTION things and not simply believe what they are spoon-fed.
We all have a responsibility to each other to actually BE "open-minded", which means to weed out the stories, myths and legends from the facts and the science.

Because astrology is too broad and non-specific. If you read enough interpretations of a Virgo, moon in Scorpio,etc...you are bound to hit on something that sounds like you. People are too different to be categorized into cookie cutter profiles.

Further, the multidimensional and poetical-mystical symbolic nature of astrological knoweldge has
a) been cast by astrologers of the early 20th century as 'scientific', which, at best, it is not.
b) but intersectional relation with the linear, uni-dimensional thought process atomically approved of current scientific reductionist logics.
It is tedious to have "Ignorance Speaks" as a motto. But who am I to speak?

Rationally, you would think that the way the planets and stars are aligned couldn't possibly have any relation to a person's personality or habits. It can be quite unsettling when you see how accurate astrological reports can actually be.

There is no scientific proof that astrology is any more accurate than a Magic Eightball.
Show me the proof and I'll consider it. I'm open minded enough to look into anything but blind faith just doesn't cut it.

Well the daily astrology is usually inaccurate and made up, which is what most people see. But if people would look at the monthly/seasonal non-magazine astrology they will see that it is more realistic.

People don't believe in it because it's not always true, in fact, most of the time it isn't.
I'm a cancer but most of the time my horoscope is never accurate and it's like that for a lot of people. Get over it.
