This man is most certainly going into The Hall Of Fame one day. Probably on the first ballot.

Only 3 other catchers have caught more games:

Gary Carter
Bob Boone
Carlton Fisk

and Pudge is the youngest catcher to acheive that

It IS amazing.

Imangine all the physical abuse sitting behind the plate with 90 pounds or more of catching gear in the summer heat?

Yeah, must be preety tiring.

Yes, he is going into the hall of fame.

But,

In Jose Cansecos Auto Bio when Canseco was traded from the Oakland A's to the Texas Rangers (The team Pudge was on) he claimed that he injected Rodriguez with steriods with his time on the Rangers.

Whether this is true for not I still believe Pudge should go to the hall of fame.

See Ya,

~Kyle~

Pudge is great. It's amazing that he has been able to play at the high level that he has for the number of years that he has. Most great catchers have to switch positions at some point in their careers. Pudge deserves the HOF. I'm not sure about 1st ballot, but at some point definitely.

Rodriguez was following up his 1999 AL MVP season with an even finer one when Fat Mo Vaughn broke Pudge's thumb with his bat in late July 2000. Rodriguez missed the rest of the season.

Not that the Rangers were going anywhere -- they were in last at the time, and stayed there -- but it was such a waste, to watch that brilliant a season stopped cold.

Yea that's pretty good. Well better than pretty, extremely good. He is going to make the hall of fame for sure. I don't believe he is the greatest ever but most certainly one of them. Probably 1st ballot.

Yes he and Mike Piazza are the two best catchers of this generation (Pudge is the better defensive catcher of the two)
