Is the new bad behavior policy intoduced tough enough on players who can't keep their noses clean ? Examples have been made of Pacman Jones and Tank Johnson but every couple of days someone new is getting arrested. Are the players that stupid or are they just not afraid of the penalties ? I firmly believe that if you're lucky enough to be in the League that its your responsibility to be a model citizen. Exactly what is it going to take to get the point across ?

These guys get paid MILLIONS each year to play a friggin SPORT! Yet they act like thugs and gangsters in the offseason. It's absolutely ridiculous, and the NFL should focus as much time and energy on conduct and character as they do on ability and talent. So personally I think that if an NFL player is charged and found guilty of any felony, it's an automatic 6 game suspension without pay. If they get a 2nd felony conviction, they're out for the season. Another after that? Better get a new career! Simple as that.

I'm of two minds. First of all, there were bad butts in the NFL of the 1960s and there are ones today. So, I think we're aiming for too clean an image. Football is for middleaged men.
On the other hand, NFL as a private corporation has the right to require any behavior level out of their employees, which they pay very well. If they want to aim at being a children's entertainment venue, they will clean out their bad elements.

no the league is not hard enough on them.offend twice and be banned from the league. look at warren sap, he threaten a coach and he is still playing. a good player but a bad person. I'm not saying take away there individualism. there is just way too many players thinking that they are beyond the law and punishment and it has only gotten worse. who remembers Jim Mc Manhon getting body slammed after a pass.A few games fine and hes back.if that was on the streets........jail time for assault.ill stop now i could go on all night.

I think it is tough enough. These new guys that get arrested is their first strike in a three strikes your out policy so they tell themselves it is there first or second arrest so they have another strike or two the can use before they are in serious trouble.

Yes. Because it is ridiculous for a pro athlete who makes millions, to throw there life away. Not many people are gifted enough to be pro athletes. I'ts a shame!

i think they should give a warning for the first time, maybe a one game suspension (unless its SERIOUS) and then 8 games for the second infraction, a season for the third and then banned for life. they are pretty tough right now but they could be tougher
