It's a pity that Christians don't see Jesus as He really was, a dark skinned Arab type Jew. He wasn't blond haired or light skinned. The Bible tells us that on two or three occasions when the Roman soldiers tried to arrest Him that He slipped into the crowd and became un-noticed. That mean He looked just like everyone else. At the time the Jewish fashion was for short cropped hair and a short beard. He would have looked like that probably with a hooked nose and about 5' 4" tall. As a baby He would have had blue eyes that turned brown after 6 months.

I envision Him in human form...a gentle and unassuming man who people just liked to be around. Not like some showy obnoxious TV Evangelist who scares away more people than He attracts, but someone very approachable and non-threatening. Even if you dont' believe He had any actual ties to a higher power, and that He was just a plain old human...He'd have to be pretty charming and have an attractiveness about him in order to draw the amount of popularity He had while on earth.

I usually think of him as an adult, about 30, with a beard.
Also, I don't think his manger was golden.
