sea world or discovery cover

Well, Discovery Cove is much more expensive than Sea World if money is a factor. But, if not, it depends on if you want a relaxing vacation or you want fun and excitement.

Discovery Cove has the relaxation of a nice vacation with laying on a beach and interacting with animals or swimming. Sea World is full of rides, shows, a lot of walking and some animal interactions. Both are great choices though.

They have an option where when you purchase your Discovery Cove ticket - you get your Sea World ticket at quite a discount.

I love both parks. But if I could only choose one because of time. Discovery Cove is the most incredible experience. From the time that you walk into the lobby and check in - you know you are in for a unique experience. You can snorkle with the fishes, you can just lay around on the beach, the dolphin experience is amazing. You're in a group of about 7, so everyone gets time with their dolphin - and the ride back to shore while holding on to his fin, is truly something you will never forget. Your admission to Discovery Cove comes with lunch provided - and we're not talking a hamburger or hotdog - we're talking a gourmet lunch.

Plan well in advance for Discovery Cove - they limit the attendance to 1000 per day. But consider adding the Sea World ticket if you have time. They have rollercoasters, water rides, the new dolphin show is breathtaking, as is the new Shamu show...something for everyone

Discovery Cove. It is soo up close with the animals rather than just watching them at Sea World. Make to sure to make a reservation in plenty of time though. I went to Orlando for a week and was not able to get in :( If you have time though... do both!! They are both a lot of fun.

Both are really great options, but really completely different. It is really a matter of whether you want to visit a park, maybe ride a few rides and see some shows, are actually get to learn a lot about the animals, get in the water with them, etc.

I would choose Discover Cove hands down, I think it is a really great place to visit. If that is an option and you think you would enjoy it, I think it is well worth it.

It could take anywhere between 6-8 hours. All depends on traffic, weather and what time of day you plan to travel down there. A lot of people travel down Thursday evenings and all day Friday to spend the weekend down there. If you have someone else driving with you, it could be faster. Only stopping for gas and a bathroom break at the same time. If your going down I-75, make sure you do the speed limits. I've seen many people pulled over for speeding.
